Location
Tsaghkunk (in Armenian 1. flower garden, 2. blossom period, 3. awakening) is a village nested in the highlands of Armenia, on the altitude of higher than 1,500m above the sea level. It has a long history with layers of ancient cultural heritage, accompanied with medieval khachkars (cross-stones) and structures preserved from the 19th century.
The St. Harutyun church (currently does not operate as a church) is a humble basilica based on a wooden structure of the 19th century with khachkars (cross-stones) and tombstones dating back to the 5th-9th centuries.
